What We Are

We are Christians, followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are a Community of Christians – we seek to live in communion together. We help and care for each other. We each find our place of service in the Church.

We are a Eucharistic community. The center of our life is the worship of God in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the service in which Jesus Christ is present with us and brings us to share in his life with the Father in the Holy Spirit.

We are Anglicans, heirs of the Christian Tradition – with its Scriptures, Creeds, Sacraments, Ministry, Liturgy, etc. – as it has been handed down through the ancient Church in England (which was once called Angle-land).

We are a Eucharistic Community in the Anglican Tradition.

What We Believe

We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and that He made man in his image and gave him dominion over the earth. But, being tempted by Satan, man rebelled against God, bringing himself and all creation under the judgment of God and the power of sin and death.

Yet God still loved the world, and He formed His people Israel in order that through them He might destroy sin and bring salvation to the world.

And we believe the Gospel, the good news that God has fulfilled these purposes and established His Kingdom through his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Through His conception and birth God has brought His Life to our humanity. In His death God has put away our sin. Through His resurrection, ascension and the sending of his Spirit, God has given us new Life.

Finally, at the end of this age God will judge the world through Him, condemning all sin and evil once and for all. Then God will complete the renewal of his people and all creation. God will come to dwell with us; we will see Him face to face. And we will serve Him and reign on the earth forever.

The Nicene Creed is the authoritative statement of our faith.

What We Do

We seek to Worship God, Love One Another, and Do Good to all people.

Worship God

The center of our life is the worship of God in the Holy Eucharist.  In this service of prayer and praise, Scripture and Sacrament, we celebrate the works of God in Jesus Christ.  We remember his passion, death, resurrection, and ascension.  And we thankfully receive him and the benefits of his sacrifice.

Love One Another

Gathering around the Lord's Table and feeding on Christ together makes us a community, a family that shares a common life.  We encourage and help each other.  We use our spiritual gifts for the common good.  We rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.

Do Good to All People

Having received the Body of Christ, we are sent into the world to be the Body of Christ - to love others as Christ has loved us.  We seek to do justice and show mercy.  We share the good news of the Kingdom of God.  And we invite others to come and share in the Life of God with us.

What We Look Like

We want to be a church that is…

Welcoming and Friendly

We welcome all ages and kinds of people just as Christ has welcomed us.

Down-to-Earth

We embrace this good life with its work and play, food, and drink, laughter and song.  We don't take ourselves too seriously.

Unhurried

The world is noisy and hectic.  We want to be a place where people can slow down, be quiet, and be found by God.

Traditional

Faithful to the ancient Christian Tradition with its beautiful, ordered, reverent worship and its true understanding of faith, family, and morality.

Charitable

We rejoice at the work of God in other branches of Christ’s Church, and we seek to cooperate with them in extending the Kingdom of God.
