The rector, or senior pastor, of our parish is Fr. Rusty Ellisor.  Fr. Rusty was born in Houston and has lived in Texas almost all of his life. He and his wife Jennifer have three children:  Joshua, Abigail, and Anna.

 

Fr. Rusty is a graduate of Crosby High School and Stephen F. Austin State University.  He also earned an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Th.M. from Cranmer Theological House.

 

After serving as a Baptist minister for several years, in 2004 Fr. Rusty was received as a deacon in the Reformed Episcopal Church.  Later that year, he was ordained as a priest.  After serving for four years as the rector of Church of the Holy Trinity in Houston, in 2009 he led in the planting of Church of the Resurrection.

 

Three of Fr. Rusty’s favorite authors are N. T. Wright, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Louis L’Amour, but not necessarily in that order.  If he ever turns up missing, the Big Bend country of West Texas is probably the best place to begin the search.
